  2. HOW TO SET UP A BIBLE SCHOOL
      The following structures are suggested for the setup and management of       your Bible school.

  2.1 Organizational structure

  2.2 Position Results Descriptions
  a) Dean

  The Dean of the Bible School is the Head of this department and reports
  to the Senior Pastor of the church.
  b) Secretary
  See PRD (Position Results Description)
  The Secretaries report to the Dean and support him in the running of the
  Bible school.
  c) Registrar
  See PRD (Position results description)
  d) Counter helpers
  See PRD (Position Results Description)
  These are volunteers and helpers that assist the secretaries during
  weekend services and other activities, as required by the Bible school.
 
  a) POSITION RESULTS DESCRIPTION: DEAN OF THE BIBLE SCHOOL
  Position results description is just another word or name for a “Job   description” The following PRD is only an indication and is not exhaustive,   nor complete. Each senior pastor will communicate and formulate a more   complete PRD that will at least include the following Key result areas:
  
  Goal 1:

  Teach and train student in the spirit of the Curriculum as required by CFCI   Bible School.

  Goal 2:
  Manage the Bible School as per the following Key result areas:

  Key result area: Weekly Duties

  Performance Standards:
  This job will have been satisfactorily performed when the following is done:
  a) Lead and direct the affairs of the Bible School.
  b) Manage all daily tasks for the smooth execution of everything pertaining to   the Bible School.
  c) Attend meetings and perform (any other) daily tasks, as required, for the
  execution of your duties as Head of the department.
  d) Plan and manage the curriculum of the Bible School.
  e) Curriculum evaluation and adaptation, as instructed by CFCI Bible School.
  f) Bible research.
  g) Moderating examination results.
  h) Marking and assessment of assignments.
  i) Teach subjects as per the curriculum on the Bible School.
  j) Present and facilitate the Teachers Training program every Saturday to equip   Future teachers for decentralized training.
  k) Student counseling.
  l) Any additional tasks delegated by the Senior Pastor.

  b) POSITION RESULTS DESCRIPTION - BIBLE SCHOOL SECRETARY
  Position results description is just another word or name for a “Job   description”    The following PRD is only an indication and is not exhaustive,   nor   complete.    Each senior pastor will communicate and formulate a more   complete PRD    that will at least include the following Key result areas:

   Goal 1:
  Provide information and assistance to all Bible School students.

   Goal 2:

  Manage my role as per the following Key result areas:

  Key result area: Weekly Duties

  Performance Standards:
  This job will have been satisfactorily performed when:
  a) I attend to any Bible School Students needs at the Counter during the   week.
  b) I capture all Course attendance information and ensure that all students   adhere to the necessary requirements.
  c) I attend our Teachers Training course on Saturdays and see to all the   necessary requirements for the Saturday meetings, making sure that all the   trainee teachers receive their teaching notes and tapes on time.
  d) I make sure that any correspondence is available to Students and training
  teachers.
  e) I make contact with Bible School Student absentees, and establish reason   and bring it to the attention of the Dean.
  f) I Facilitate course advertising, from the platform and directly with students.
  g) I update and maintain the database information of all the Bible School   students.
  h) I ensure that all the Bible School sessions are recorded (audio and visual).
  i) I am available every Sunday to work at the counter, caring for the needs of   the students and members alike.

  c) POSITION RESULTS DESCRIPTION: BIBLE SCHOOL REGISTRAR

  Ensure student enrolments, student profiles and student data are managed.

   Goal 2:
  Manage my role as per the following Key result areas:

   Key result area: Weekly Duties

   Performance Standards:
  This job will have been satisfactorily performed when:
  a)  All students have been successfully enrolled and registered.
  b)  Test and scoring information is updated continually on the database.
  c)  Student fees are managed on a weekly basis.
  d). Marketing and promoting of the Bible School is done through various
       communication mediums.
  e)  Student counseling.

  d) PRD: BIBLE SCHOOL ASSISTANTS OR HELPERS

   Goal 1:
   Provide information and assistance to all Bible School students.

   Goal 2:
   Manage my role as per the following Key result areas:

   Performance Standards:
   This job will have been satisfactorily performed when:
   a) Authority in the Bible School
   The Dean is responsible for the management of the Bible School, under the    guidance of the Senior Pastor of the church. The Bible School secretaries are     to submit directly to the Dean. All Bible School volunteers and helpers    are     therefore to submit to the secretaries and act on their instructions.
   b) Helping Customers / Students
   When attending to people, take your time, show them that they are important    and treat them with respect (talk nicely to people). When you rush, mistakes    are made and the people that you are serving might feel that they are in your    way. People respond to your attitude. The Bible School is like a business and    we need to look after our “clients”. Remember, we strive for excellence!
   c) Purchasing of course manuals
   Assist in the selling of the manuals as per the agreed prices.
   d) General Query Form
   If a student has any queries then please let the them complete a query form    and hand it in to the secretaries to take care of and resolve during the week.
   e) Working hours
   I am available to work at the Counter every Sunday.
